"Last year, at age 49, I began having all the symptoms of menopause - fatigue, irritability, and mood swings, hot flashes and night sweats. Dr. Haendiges understands menopause inside and out, and will never "blow off" a woman's symptoms due to age. Her breadth of knowledge is amazing, and she’s always taken the time to answer the many questions I’ve had. She’s thorough, detailed and a real pleasure to listen to! Her knowledge has worked wonders and helped me put an end to my menopause symptoms once and for all!" Kay R.

Week 10: Hormone Therapy

Woman After HRTDoes the thought of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) overwhelm you?

In Course 10: Hormone Therapy, you’ll get nothing but the facts behind HRT, how HRT works and what potential risks it can bring. Better yet, you’ll learn the benefits of HRT and how to decide for yourself whether the benefits outweigh the risks.

Hormone Replacement Therapy has been used broadly for years as a treatment of menopausal symptoms, but its safety has been questioned.  The truth about HRT is often manipulated by the Media or the Pharmaceutical industry.

You’ll learn about all of your options, whether it be traditional or non-traditional HRT. Plus, you’ll discover the many different administration options, from creams, lotions, patches, devices, pills and more.

You’ll learn how HRT affects your heart, its impact on good and bad cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure.   The course will highlight the various cancer risks, from breast, ovarian and colon cancer, and how certain cancers can be affected by HRT.

You’ll also learn about some of the side effects of HRT, and how to manage them.

The session will examine the differences between Phytoestrogen, Xenoestrogen and Synthetic Estrogens and provide you with information on alternatives to HRT so that you can make an informed decision about which treatment is best for you.
