Week 11: A Healthy Lifestyle Throughout life, your body goes through never-ending changes. When you’re in your 40s and 50s, you no longer have the body you once had in your 20s. While this is obvious on the outside, it’s equally true on the inside.
In the eleventh session of Menopause University, entitled “A Healthy Lifestyle”, you’ll discover how to nurture your aging body for the rest of your life. You’ll learn successful methods for breaking bad habits, and creating new, healthy habits. The course will open your eyes to the many ways food can be used as medicine; you’ll discover how you can put the right foods to work to help reduce the symptoms and severity of menopause. You’ll also learn about which supplements are imperative to your overall health and why they’re not optional. Course 11 will help you weed out the facts from the myths about dietary guidelines. You’ll gain an understanding about why certain fats are essential to your overall health and what happens to your body when you deprive your body of them. You’ll also learn about the BMI, how it works and why it’s not a perfect measure of overall health.
At the end of Course 11, you’ll be armed with all of the necessary knowledge you need to help you make the right choices on everything from the food and supplements you put into your body, to the exercise you give it and the overall lifestyle you lead.
